Dogs are far smarter than what we give them credit for. Even with all the obviously clever things that they do, we can come to find through this collection of brilliant border collies that their business acumen and creativity are far greater than what we could have ever perceived it to be. Because much like some hoomans who see opportunity in every direction they look, some of these doggos have become incredibly adept at spotting opportunities to make big bucks while engaging in something they love, or simply not having to invest much at all. Which as we all know are the foundations of all wildly successful businesses.

Now, that is not to say that all of these puppers are as business savvy as we have made them out to be. Most are more interested in jobs that involve care and attention such as chickie booping and watching over guinea pigs. While they are totally necessary positions, do not make the most amount of money, and involve a lot of investment. But, we guess you could say that they just aren't in it for the money. Much like many of us hoomans who are more interested in the passion we have for our work than the payment we get for it. But someone needs to pay for that boxing day shopping spree in the end, so who will it be, you, or your dog?

    Macie bootlegs tennis balls at the dog park. She gets them for free (from me) and then hustles them to other dogs at the park. She has more in her retirement account than I do!

  • Now that is one clever canine right there. So many of these other doggos have resorted to well meaning jobs that while they hold value in their protection and care, are relatively low paying. But here you have an enterprising pupper who is making a massive profit by hustling those hardworking and caring doggos while doing very little to gain a ton of profit. We should all be taking notes from her.

    This guy has decided he is the furry alarmclock to wake up our teen every AM. I turn on the hall light and he immediately jumps on the bed all bt wiggles and low "hullloooo"s til the kiddo stirs.

    Tetherball hog. He's 11 now and has been playing since he was a puppy. Some days he would stay at the park for 2 hours playing by himself or with any kids that showed up.

  • Another pretty genius hustle. There are no end to the amount of kids who turn up at the park with a parent who is less than interested in getting involved in their play time. With most parents opting to sit on the provided benches while they hope their tiny tikes tucker themselves out. So what better way to make a few bucks than to entertain and thoroughly tire out those kids, while their parents can rest easy on the benches watching on from afar.

    Finding all the soccer balls that the soccer club shot over the fences. They can't find them because the bushes are too dense, or they are in a ditch filled with water. Last year it was about 40 in total. We are at 20-ish this year.
